We will reply to your comment shortly.Hello
In my previous question you said I could use your extreme composite deck sealer on a new outdoor Composite table. But when I looked up the directions it says not designed for use on new composite lumber.
So I am confused can you use this product on a new table or not?
please help
thanks-
We will reply to your comment shortly.Yes, as long as the surface is composite and it is porous.

We will reply to your comment shortly.I have a 240 sq. ft. cedar deck. Do I need to apply 2 coats of wood stain? Also, how much wood stain, stripper, and brightener do I need to order?
-
We will reply to your comment shortly.2 coats wet on wet. About 3 gallons of stain. As for Stripper, we would need to see pictures of the current conditions and what stain is on the wood now?
-
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. If I can use your sealer on table how do I apply it?
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. You can use this: https://www.defystain.com/defy-composite-deck-sealer-detail.html

We will reply to your comment shortly.I live in Virginia and have a 20 year old 600 SF pressure treated deck which is was last treated 10 years ago with a product called Ready Seal. Overall the wood is structurally solid. What product do you recommend that I use to prep and seal the deck and how much should I purchase?
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. You will need to prep with the Defy Wood Cleaner and the Defy Brightener. One container of each. About 6 gallons of the Defy Extreme for the two coats.

-
We will reply to your comment shortly.I used Defy Extreme Stain ( Driftwood Gray) on a boat dock 5 years ago and on a new deck 3 years ago. Both the dock and the deck need reapplication now. How do I prep both surfaces? The boat dock is weathered and porous. The deck is less porous in most places.
-
We will reply to your comment shortly.Use the Defy Wood Cleaner and pressure washing for prep.

We will reply to your comment shortly. Why am i being charged shipping ($16.83) with 5 gallons (5 one-gallons) of 'Defy Extreme 1 Gallon' stain? Also purchasing the 2-gallon sprayer, crack n' groove tool and 4" brush.

We will reply to your comment shortly.I need to remove the solid stain on a deck that butts again my house that is sided in this steel siding.
Will any of the recommended products (cleaner, stripper, brightener) harm the finish? There is NO space between the deck and the siding, so I am unsure of how to accomplish the work without getting the products on the siding.-
We will reply to your comment shortly. It is not possible to strip a solid stain so you will have to power sand if you want to remove it.
-
We will reply to your comment shortly.I do plan to sand. The question remains about using the other products like cleaner and brightener. I don't think it will be possible to cover the siding. Will the products harm steel siding and if so, how do we keep this from happening when using products like the cleaner and brightener?
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. It should not harm the siding but no way to say for certain without doing a test spot.

We will reply to your comment shortly.Hello,
I have a new redwood decking boards which I plan to sand, brighten, then stain. But the posts are 6x6 rough cut fir which have an old coat of stain. How do you recommend removing the old stain on vertical rough cut wood? My concerns are stripper won't penetrate on a vertical surface and the rough surface is not conducive to sanding. Thanks.-
We will reply to your comment shortly.Post a picture.
-
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. If I use the stripper and brightener, do I need the cleaner as well? Or is it clean-strip-brighten.
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. No need for a cleaner if using the stripper.

We will reply to your comment shortly. We have a new deck. The wood is p.t. and is double kiln dried. We like the reviews associated with your stain. We were hoping for a light grey color but you don't seem to have one. Any solutions for us here in Forest City, N.C.. Lastly, given our wood is double kiln dried, how long should we wait to begin the total procedure.
-
We will reply to your comment shortly. The Defy Extreme comes in a Driftwood Gray. Wait a couple of months and use the Defy Wood Cleaner and the Defy Wood Brightener for the prep.

We will reply to your comment shortly. Two questions: 1) I used DEFY Extreme Semi-transparent (light walnut) on our deck 3 years ago. Now it's time to re-stain. How much of the old DEFY stain needs to be removed before I apply the stain? Can there be some left, or does it all need to be power-washed off down the the bare cedar? 2) Last time I bought the stain, I found a local retailer (paint store) and bought it there. Can I only buy your stain via this website now? Thanks!
-
We will reply to your comment shortly.1. Some can be left.
2. We are an online dealer only for Defy.

We will reply to your comment shortly. My 14x16 pressure treated deck has been sanded down to bare wood. Boards are in good condition. Can you please advise what stain should be used, oil or water based. Also, I do not want to use a wet on wet product.
I live in Ontario, Canada and my deck faces north.
If I need 2 gallons how much would the total cost be including shipping??-
We will reply to your comment shortly.Hello, Defy is a wet on wet application and only comes in water-based. In addition, you will need to remove all of the stain from the floor prior to using the Defy. You still have some old stain in spots around the edges, etc.
For shipping charges, please add to cart and enter your shipping info to see the total cost.
