DEFY-ColorTipsDEFAULTNano-Technology Improves Stain Performance 200-600%

SaverSystems has joint ventured with several companies to develop a new long lasting stain technology.  Our research efforts over the last year and a half have lead Project_buttonto a new development in the performance of exterior, semi-transparent wood finishes to protect your deck.

A newly developed nano-technology used in combination with our existing technology has been found to significantly increase the durability and weather resistance of our synthetic resin based deck stains. This new light stabilizing nano-technology actually works by blocking and absorbing the harmful UV rays from the sun that damage your wood.

Not only does this new technology help prevent wood from graying it also helps prevent water intrusion while resisting  fungal growth. The independent test results are in, and below are photo’s of the actual test boards which show how the new DEFY Extreme new technology stacks up against the best selling national brands.

Defy Extreme Wood Stain utilizes Nano Particles (Similar to Sunscreen) and High Grade Synthetic Resins. When combined they will reflect the sun and provide UV protection that has never been seen in a Tinted Wood Finish. This is a First in the Industry

Defy Extreme Wood Stain can be used on interior or exterior smooth hardwood surfaces including: wood siding, decks, outdoor wood furniture, and other hardwood surfaces.

Defy Extreme - Wood Stain:

  • Utilizing Nano-Particles and Synthetic Resins. Nano Light-Stabilizers block the sun's harmful UV rays preventing graying
  • Nano particles help prevent mold and algae
  • Semi-Transparent wood finish adds color and protection to your wood
  • Stains and seals your wood from water penetration
  • Water-Based with easy soap and water cleanup
  • VOC Compliant and Eco-Friendly formula
  • Leading protection that will outperform all tinted transparent wood stains

Location: Lawrenceville, Ga Stain: Defy Natural Pine Prep: None Wood/Age: Pressure Treated Pine # of Coats: 2 Excellent ? product - 1 Gallon covered entire 12×14 deck 2× ? Natural Pine is Golden and Rich, doesn't look like paint on wood. Looks like Harwood floors with a Semi -Matte appearance. We hand painted our platform Brush/Roller and it was quick and easy. If you hand paint don't skip around. Paint one plank at a time end to end. Also Dry time was quick - no smells- water like consistentcy goes far. Clean- up with Soap/Water. Wish I could post the pictures! Thank you

I have an 8 year old Trex composite deck in the Saddle color with a wood grain texture that has faded and developed the common black mildew spots. I noticed the Defy clear sealer for composites but would like to add a little color and wondered if the Defy Extreme product would work on my deck. Thanks.

Defy Extreme is not made for composite wood.

What's the difference between the gallon size "Extreme" Defy Wood Stain shown above and the "Colorado Gold" Is there not something in that in the gallon size that might come close to the "Colorado Gold" and be
    just as effective?

They are completely different formulas and colors between the Extreme and the Original synthetic.

Did part of Deck with Defy "Colorado Gold" . Anyway to get that by the gallon..... If not do you have a close match. Do like the product.
That product only comes in 5 gallons pails and does not have a close color match in any of the other Defy Stains.

I have a one year old deck with 1 coat of penofin. We'd like to resand the serfice and apply Defy. Would that work.

You do need to remove the Penofin first. Best is to strip and brighten the wood for prep. Sanding will work as well, just do not sand more then 60-80 grit of paper.

    pdaniels:
We just used a stripper to remove BM transparent redwood stain from our cedar deck that was applied last year. It did not hold up well on three year old portion of deck. Will your water based extreme product adhere or do we need to use an oil based product?

As long as you removed the BM then yes you can use Defy stain.

We have a Cedar fireplace mantle that is outside. We have killed the mold and mildew with bleach and used a water based wood brightener.

Should we use the Defy Hardwood stain or the extreme?

    Thanks,

I had new cedar exterior stairs & railing installed. After reading all the comments, not sure if the defy Extreme clear or defy for hardwood should be used. I am looking for the one that will be the longest lasting before having to redo.

    Jeff:
We have our deck and fence stained with Biowash Natural Deck Oil in the Cedartone colour. We now need to restain and the Defy product has apparently replaced the Biowash. Could you answer the following questions?
    - can I apply your product over the Biowash without sanding back to bare wood?
    - what preparation do I need to do prior to staining?
    - what is the shelf life for the product? I don't believe you have Canadian distribution so I was going to ship to a U.S. location and I was considering ordering four gallons so I would have enough to restain in a couple of years.

    Thank you for your help.

No you would need to strip off the Biowash first before using the Extreme. use the Defy Wood Brightener as well. Unopened containers will last many a couple of years.

bought 15 gallons last year. put on 1 year old pressure treated yellow pine. The wood was cured 12mon by the hot summer here in ga. This yr I would like to pressure wash. We get a lot of stuff from the trees that cause staining and black spots.. Also on certain areas where the dogs nails have scratched can it be touched up without removing last years coat?

Try a little be of soapy water to remove dirt and lightly agitate and rinse. Hard to spot touch up scratches and have it dry even.
