Masonry Saver (Defy) Safer Brick & Masonry Cleaner a safety breakthrough in acid cleaning for commercial and home use. Use for any tough acid cleaning or etching job, where you would normally use Muriatic Acid. The chemical composition of Defy Safer Masonry Cleaner is the same as Muriatic Acid with proprietary additives. The patented chemistry virtually eliminates the dangerous, toxic fumes and potential acid burns normally associated with Muriatic Acid.

This formulation of special acids and cleaners will effectively remove rust from concrete, green algae on brick sidewalks, efflorescence brick, along with mildew, smoke and creosote stains. It is a safer alternative to Muriatic acid, cleaning as good, with a special additive to reduce fumes and burns that are normally associated with Muriatic acid.

Use Masonry Saver (Defy) Safer Brick & Masonry Cleaner to clean both brick and masonry surfaces of rust, mildew, algae, mortar splatter, smoke and creosote stains. It can also be used when acid etching prior to applying floor coatings. DEFY Safer Brick & Masonry Cleaner is a concentrated formula that makes 5 gallons when diluted and is sold in 1 gallon recyclable plastic containers.
*Note: Do not use on limestone! DEFY Safer Brick & Masonry Cleaner will dissolve limestone.

Coverage Rate:
75-125 sq. ft. per gallon (each concentrated gallon makes 5 gallons when diluted 1:4 with water)

You would need 3-4 gallons of the Defy Safer Cleaner. I would then get 10 gallons of the Defy Paver sealer.

I thought I had posted this question to this site 3 days ago, but can't find it, so please forgive if duplicated.

Current: one year old, 1100 sq. ft. patio floor consisting of 6x6 and 6x9 multicolor concrete pavers. The pavers are heavily covered with efflorescence.

Need: To clean the pavers. To seal the pavers and stabilize the sand.

Yes this product does remove rust stains effectively. Make sure to prewet any grass and rinse very heavily when done.

I have iron rust marks from fertilizer on my white concrete drive and grey pavers. Will Defy Safer Brick and Masonry remove it? Also, what precautions should I take regarding the grass that borders the area?
