DEFY MasonrySaver 20B is a V.O.C. compliant water repellent which contains an optimized 20% blend of silane and siloxane. This water based blend penetrates concrete pores up to 1 inch or more depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application. DEFY MasonrySaver 20B reacts with the minerals in the concrete in the presence of ultra-violet light and atmospheric moisture. This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that prevents water molecules from penetrating, while allowing free migration of water vapors. The chemical bonds formed in the process allow it to become an integral part of the substrate and provide long term water repellent protection.

DEFY MasonrySaver 20B concrete sealant can be used on most vertical or horizontal exterior, above-grade surfaces. It is ideally suited for harsh environment applications, such as concrete parking garages, where maximum chloride ion protection is needed including: Architectural concrete; precast or cast in place, Mortars, exposed aggregate sealer, Portland Cement, Stuccos and Concrete Masonry Units and for use as a concrete waterproofer. Natural substrate color and surface textures are unaffected, with little or no gloss created.
